WHAT IS A LEARNERSHIP

A Learnership is a work-based learning programme that leads to an NQF registered qualification. Learnerships are directly related to an occupation or field of work, for example, business administration, banking, freight handling and so much more. Learnerships and the qualifications are managed by Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) in which Advanced Assessments and Training are accredited with.

Overview of the Learnership Programme

The SETA Learnership Programme for 2025 at Advanced Assessments & Training offers unemployed individuals a golden opportunity to develop essential workplace skills while earning a nationally recognized qualification. Designed to bridge the gap between theoretical education and practical work experience, the programme is geared towards equipping young South Africans with the tools needed to succeed in a competitive job market.

Advanced Assessments & Training partners with various Sector Education and Training Authorities (SETAs) to ensure that the learnerships meet industry standards and fulfill the needs of the workforce. The programme spans across different sectors, making it ideal for individuals looking to enter a variety of fields, including business administration, information technology, healthcare, hospitality, and more.

What is a Learnership?

A learnership is a structured learning programme that combines theoretical knowledge with practical workplace experience. It is facilitated by accredited training providers like Advanced Assessments & Training in conjunction with employers and SETAs.

The programme typically lasts between 12 to 24 months and leads to a nationally recognized qualification registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). Learnerships are ideal for unemployed youth as they provide an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while receiving financial compensation, usually in the form of a stipend.

Who Can Apply for the 2025 SETA Learnership?

The 2025 SETA Learnership at Advanced Assessments & Training is open to:

  • Unemployed South African citizens aged between 18 and 35 years.

  1. CV of Applicant – Attach a copy of your CV
    Ensure that your CV contains the following information:
  • Personal Details
  • Educational background and highest qualification
  • Work experience if applicable
  • Minimum of 2 references

  1. ID of Applicant – Attach 2 clear colour copies of your ID. One copy needs to be recently certified (within the past 3 months) and One should be non-certified.  If you have a copy of your smart ID, please ensure it contains a picture of the front and back view of your smart ID. In the case of foreign applicants please upload a clear copy of your passport.

  • Certified Copy of ID x 1
  • Non-Certified Copy of ID x 1

  • Non-Certified copy of Passport x 1
  1. Highest Qualification of Applicant – Attach 2 clear colour copies of your highest qualification. One copy needs to be recently certified (within the past 3 months) and One should be non-certified.

  1. SARS tax Letter
  2. Proof of Bank account (Please do not attach a bank statement)
  3. Medical Note or Letter (If Applicable)
