Job Advert Summary:
Rand Water is looking for a candidate who will be responsible for maintaining and developing EMS landscapes and facilities using various horticultural equipment, machines, and tools in a labor intensive work as instructed
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- 1 year in Gardens
- Ability to operate horticultural machinery such as brush cutter, lawn mower, and knap sack
- Capable of the work
- Basic safety knowledge and safety requirements ( Safety clothes/Equipment required
Primary Duties:
- General Sites maintenance of landscapes and facilities
- Cleaning sweeping, weeding, watering, and planting of plants
- Applications of fertilizers, composts, and mulches
- Loading and offloading of goods, machines, plants, debris, etc.
- Use of horticultural machineries, such as lawnmowers, brush cutters, and knap sacks
- Grass cutting within Bulk Water Distribution sites
- Support with decoration when required
Knowledge:
- Use of hand tools
- Mower and brush cutters machinery
- Basic plant knowledge
