We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking General Packer to join our growing fruit and vegetable wholesale business located at Epping Market. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who is physically fit, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and lives in the surrounding area.
About the Role:
As a General Packer, you will play a key part in the day-to-day operations of our business. Your responsibilities will include:
- Sorting, packing, and labelling fresh fruit and vegetables
- Assembling and preparing orders for delivery
- Checking produce for quality and freshness
- Cleaning and maintaining a tidy workspace
- Assisting with loading and unloading of goods
- Working as part of a small, supportive team
This is an early morning role with shifts starting at 4:00 AM and finishing at 12:00 PM, Monday to Saturday. Punctuality and consistency are essential.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Have your own transport (Epping Market is not easily accessible via public transport during early morning hours)
- Live locally – applicants from the surrounding suburbs of Epping Market are preferred
- Be physically fit and capable of lifting boxes and working on your feet
- Be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Have good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in a packing or warehouse role is a bonus but not essential – training will be provided for the right candidate
