Role description
The NARYSEC programme, which was established in September 2010, is one of the
contributions of the Department of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development
(DALRRD) towards alleviating the high levels of unemployment amongst young
people in rural areas.
Linked to the National Development Plan (Vision 2030) and the Comprehensive
Rural Development Programme (CRDP), the strategic outcomes of the NARYSEC
programme are:

a) Skilled rural youth ready to take up economic opportunities.
b) Economically active youth in rural areas; and
c) Youth-led enterprises contributing to the economy of the country.
Successful candidates will be required to be away from home for a period of 15
weeks attending Youth Leadership Development Programme (YLDP).
Participants will be provided with skills training offered by different Accredited TVET
College to acquire SAQA accredited qualification. The duration of the training differs from one skills training to the other and from College to College.

Applicants have to be:

• South African Citizen with valid identity Document (ID).
• Medically fit.
• Youth must be unemployed.
• Not studying with any tertiary institution.
• Residing from functional regions and prioritized municipalities.
• No criminal record.
• Youth with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
• Preference will be given to youth interested to study towards the different programmes.

Role requirement
18 to 35 years old.

Grade 12.
Passed English; Maths literacy & Life Orientation.

Existing business.

interested in establishing a business in the renewable energy sector.
