Description of the Role

The Work Integrated Learning Trainee Programme is designed to give students practical exposure in their chosen field of study. Key Responsibilities

  • Educational Requirements: Applicants must be registered for and have completed up to S4 (semester 4) for their National Diploma in one of the following disciplines:
  • Metallurgical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Industrial Engineering
  • Human Resource Development (or Learning & Development)
  • Safety, Health, Environmental, and Quality (SHEQ)
  • South African Citizenship: Only applicants who are South African citizens will be considered for the programme.
  • Academic Performance: While a minimum pass rate of 60% is preferred, students with strong academic records and a proven commitment to their studies will be prioritized.
  • Background and Medical Checks: Applicants must be willing to undergo background checking, including criminal record checks and academic verifications. In addition, a Medical Fitness Assessment will be conducted to ensure the applicant is physically capable of performing the required duties.
